Drift alternatives

Start with what is actually confirmed. Clari + Salesloft, which owns Drift, announced a gradual sunset in March 2026, and Salesloft's Drift Sunset FAQ says Drift will be retired on January 31, 2027. drift.com now redirects to a Salesloft page that says “We've transitioned from Drift to 1mind.” If you are on Drift, the question is not whether to move but where, and by when.

What this page is based on

Salesloft's own Drift Sunset FAQ (last modified September 22, 2026) and its March 2026 newsroom announcement, both linked below. Salesloft says the FAQ will be updated as new details are confirmed, so check it and your contract before planning around any date here.

The sunset is the page

In March 2026 Clari + Salesloft announced it would sunset Drift and refer existing Drift customers to 1mind as its successor. Salesloft's FAQ recommends 1Mind for chatbot functionality and allGood for Drift Email. It also says your access and service level stay the same through your contract end or January 31, 2027, whichever comes first, so there is time to run a replacement alongside it. After that date the Drift chat widget, Drift Email, and custom Drift API integrations stop working.

Before anything else:

  • Find your contract end date. Your access ends then if it comes before January 31, 2027.
  • Ask for your data export. Salesloft's FAQ says to contact your Account Manager or Support to export Drift data. If your contract runs past January 31, 2027, it keeps data offline through April 30, 2027 for export requests.
  • Write down what Drift actually does for you today: answering questions, capturing leads, booking meetings, or routing to sales reps.

If you used Drift to answer visitors and capture leads

Plenty of small businesses used Drift as the chat in the corner of their website: answer a question, get a name and an email, book a call. If that is your use, Formala is built for exactly that, at small-business scale.

Formala plans and what each includes
PlanPriceIncluded
Free$0, no card required10 conversations a month
Starter$19 /mo150 conversations a month
Growth$39 /mo400 conversations a month
Pro$79 /mo1,000 conversations a month
Business$149 /mo2,500 conversations a month
  • An AI website receptionist, on every plan

Formala answers your website chat 24/7 from your own FAQs, notes, and help articles, asks the follow-up questions you would ask, and turns the conversation into a structured lead: name, contact, category, and priority.

  • Leads arrive by email

Every new lead is emailed to you with the full transcript, and the visitor gets a confirmation email. An optional webhook can send each lead to Zapier or your own tools.

  • Step into any conversation

See who is chatting now, take over yourself, and Formala goes quiet until you hand it back.

  • Booking into the calendar you already keep

Connect Google Calendar or Outlook and Formala offers real free times inside the chat and books the meeting.

  • Photos and PDFs

Visitors can attach a photo or PDF. Formala can read the photo and ask about what is in it.

  • A lead inbox your team can share

Search, filter by priority, and export to CSV. Team seats from Growth up.

  • A fallback if the AI is unavailable

Visitors get a plain contact form instead.

One line of code on the site you already have. 10 AI conversations a month free, permanently, no card.

What Formala does not do

  • It does not answer phone calls or send text messages. It answers website chat, and it alerts you by email.
  • It is not a sales engagement platform: no account-based playbooks, no routing to a sales team by territory, no revenue forecasting.
  • No outbound campaigns or product tours.
  • No native CRM or Slack integration. A webhook can carry leads to those tools through your own setup.

If you need the full sales platform, stay in that world

If Drift sat at the center of an enterprise sales motion with routing, ABM, and forecasting, look at what Clari + Salesloft recommends (1mind) and other B2B conversational sales tools. Formala is not trying to replace that.

What we could not confirm

  • Whether Drift can still be bought by new customers. Salesloft's pages don't say so directly, but drift.com redirects to a Salesloft page about 1mind and shows no Drift pricing.
  • Exactly which data types (for example chat transcripts) are included in an export. Ask Salesloft support.

Questions

Yes. Salesloft's Drift Sunset FAQ says Drift will be retired on January 31, 2027. Your access ends then or at the end of your current contract, whichever comes first.
